Peter Berner ist ein deutscher Maler, lebt und arbeitet in Berlin.
Im September 1978 in Berlin Mitte (Ost) geboren.
Nach Abschluss seines Studiums als Motion-Designer arbeitete er hauptsächlich als Graphiker. Seit 2012 konzentriert er sich auf seine Malerei.
Neuere Arbeiten sind oft als Assemblagen arrangiert, dabei kombiniert Berner Elemente der Photographie und der Graphik mit figurativer Malerei und anderen Gegenständen. Am Rechner werden Zeichnungen und Photographien bearbeitet, die dann teilweise, in einem speziellen Verfahren auf die Leinwand übertragen werden.
Berner´s Faszination für die Renaissance, große Wandteppiche, florale Muster und dem Mythos Wald sind ein immer wiederkehrendes Thema, das er in seinen Bildern bearbeitet.
Peter Berner is a German Painter based in Berlin. Born in September 1978 in Berlin-East (GDR). After completing his studies in Motion-Design he worked mainly as graphic artist. Since 2012 he exclusively works on his paintings.
Latest works are often arranged as assemblages he combines elements of photography and graphic-art with figurative painting and other objects. Berner alienates and abstract drawings and photographs on the computer, then transfers them in a special procedure partly onto canvas.
Berner´s fascination for the epoch Renaissance, big tapestries, floral pattern and the old myths about forests are a recurring theme in his works.
